- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), peeled and sliced into fry shapes
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Cooking spray
- Optional: caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping
- 1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- 2. In one bowl, add flour. In a second bowl, whisk eggs. In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
- 3. Coat apple slices first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
- 4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- 5. Arrange coated apple fries in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed).
- 6. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
- 7. Serve immediately with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
