Air Fryer Apple Fries

These Air Fryer Apple Fries are a sweet, crispy snack coated in cinnamon sugar and served with a creamy caramel dipping sauce a lighter twist on classic fried desserts!

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), peeled and sliced into fry shapes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional: caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • 2. In one bowl, add flour. In a second bowl, whisk eggs. In a third bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon.
  • 3. Coat apple slices first in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat in the breadcrumb mixture.
  • 4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • 5. Arrange coated apple fries in a single layer in the basket (work in batches if needed).
  • 6. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
  • 7. Serve immediately with caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt for dipping.

Notes

  • Best served fresh while warm.
  • Try using almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs for a healthier option.
  • Add a pinch of nutmeg or pumpkin spice for extra fall flavor.
