Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced small
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent rolls or pie dough
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar or caramel sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, cornstarch, and butter.
  • 3. Cook 4–6 minutes until apples soften and mixture thickens; let cool slightly.
  • 4. Unroll crescent dough (or pie dough) and cut into small squares.
  • 5. Place a spoonful of apple filling in the center of each square.

  • 7. Brush tops with egg wash.
  • 8. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  • 9. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with caramel before serving.

Notes

  • Dice apples small so bites seal easily.
  • Use Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for best flavor.
  • Air-fry at 360°F for 8–10 minutes for a quicker option.
