A perfect combination of rich chocolate brownies and creamy cheesecake, Cheesecake Brownies are an easy, delightful treat that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare an 8×8-inch baking pan by greasing it and lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat once melted.
  3. Combine the granulated sugar with the melted butter. Mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. Add the unsweetened cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder to the mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.
  6. Mix the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar in a separate bowl. Blend in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Layer the cheesecake filling over the brownie layer. Pour spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top.
  8. Create a marbled effect by swirling a knife or skewer through the batter and cheesecake layer.
  9. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until edges are set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out using the parchment paper and cool completely on a wire rack.
  11. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes
