Cheesecake Egg Rolls

Crispy golden egg rolls filled with creamy cheesecake filling and dusted with cinnamon sugar — the ultimate handheld dessert!

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • Topping:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Optional: strawberry or chocolate sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • 1. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, sour cream, and egg yolk until smooth.
  • 2. Lay out egg roll wrappers and place 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each.
  • 3. Fold in the sides and roll tightly, sealing the edges with a dab of water.
  • 4. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  • 5. Fry egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  • 6. Drain on paper towels.
  • 7. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl, then roll warm egg rolls in the mixture.
  • 8. Serve warm with strawberry or chocolate sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can bake them at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes if you prefer a lighter version.
  • Air fryer method: cook at 370°F (185°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat in the oven for crispiness.
