Chicken Caesar Sandwiches

A delightful blend of flavors from classic Caesar salad with crispy chicken, all tucked into soft bread.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 4 slices of soft sandwich bread (brioche or ciabatta)
  • 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Caesar dressing
  • Extra Parmesan cheese for topping
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Coat the chicken: Set up a breading station with beaten egg and breadcrumb mixture. Dip chicken into egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
  3. Fry the chicken: Heat olive oil and cook chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
  4. Prepare the Caesar salad: Combine chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing and toss well.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches: Layer Caesar salad on bread, add chicken, sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese, and top with another slice of bread.
  6. Serve: Cut sandwiches in half and serve with extra Caesar salad on the side.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days.
