Chicken in Basil Cream Sauce

A delicious dish combining tender chicken with a rich and creamy basil sauce, perfect for impressing guests or a weeknight dinner.

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sauté the garlic: Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Make the cream sauce: Pour heavy cream into the skillet, stir in basil leaves, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Combine chicken and sauce: Return chicken to the skillet, coat with sauce, and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Serve and garnish: Plate the chicken hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
