Chicken Parmesan Lasagna

Layers of juicy breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, creamy ricotta, and melted mozzarella come together in this cozy Chicken Parmesan Lasagna the ultimate comfort food dinner.

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (or breaded chicken cutlets, chopped)
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • 2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  • 3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • 4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of the dish.
  • 5. Add a layer of noodles, followed by ricotta mixture, chicken, marinara sauce, and mozzarella.
  • 6. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan on top.
  • 7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • 8. Remove foil and bake an additional 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  • 9. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and garnish with fresh basil.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick prep.
  • Breaded chicken adds extra flavor and texture.
  • Can be assembled a day ahead and baked before serving.
  • Pairs perfectly with garlic bread and a green salad.
