- Chocolate Cupcakes:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup strawberry puree
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and sugars.
- 3. Add oil, eggs, milk, hot water, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- 4. Divide batter evenly among liners.
- 5. Bake for 18–20 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- 6. Cool cupcakes completely.
- 7. For the buttercream, beat butter until creamy.
- 8. Gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in strawberry puree and vanilla until fluffy.
- 9. Pipe or spread frosting onto cooled cupcakes.
