- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: caramel sauce for drizzling
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- 2. Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and set aside the icing cups for later.
- 3. In a large bowl, toss apple slices with brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, vanilla, lemon juice, and melted butter until evenly coated.
- 4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
- 5. Top with the cinnamon roll pieces, pressing them lightly into the apples.
