Cream Cheese Tortilla Bites

Delicious and crispy tortilla bites filled with cream cheese and everything seasoning, perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup everything seasoning
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chives or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tortillas: Start by taking your softened cream cheese out of the fridge to allow it to warm up a bit. Lay the first tortilla flat on a clean surface.
  2. Spread the Cream Cheese: Using a knife or a spatula, spread a generous layer of softened cream cheese evenly across the surface of the tortilla.
  3. Season the Cream Cheese: Take the everything seasoning and sprinkle it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Roll the Tortilla: Starting from one side of the tortilla, roll it up tightly until you reach the other side.
  5. Slice into Bites: Use a sharp knife to slice each roll into bite-sized pieces.
  6. Prepare for Frying: In a frying pan, pour enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom, about half an inch deep.
  7. Fry the Bites: Carefully place a few sliced tortilla bites into the hot oil, frying them for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  8. Drain Excess Oil: Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the pan and place them onto paper towels.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chives or green onions on top and serve warm.

Notes

These bites are best served fresh and warm, with dipping sauces for added flavor.
