Crispy Tofu Fried Chicken Nuggets

Delicious plant-based tofu nuggets, crispy on the outside and packed with flavor, perfect for snacking or serving as a meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 cup of plant-based milk
  • 1 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture for better flavor absorption.
  2. Combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Coat each piece of tofu in the flour mixture, then dip in the plant-based milk, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat to cover the bottom.
  5. Fry the nuggets for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a healthier option, the nuggets can be baked in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes instead of frying.
