Ingredients

Scale
  • lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 0.7 oz packet Italian dressing mix
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 34 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 16 oz angel hair pasta (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley (chopped, optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Spray crock pot insert with non-stick spray. Add softened cream cheese, butter, cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and minced garlic. Whisk until smooth and combined.
  • 2. Add chicken breasts to sauce, spoon some sauce over top. Cover and cook on LOW 5-6 hours or HIGH 3-4 hours until chicken reaches 165°F.
  • 3. Remove chicken to plate, shred with two forks. Return to crock pot and stir into sauce until creamy. Taste and season with salt/pepper.
  • 4. Cook angel hair pasta according to package directions. Serve chicken and sauce over hot pasta. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Soften cream cheese and butter first for smooth sauce texture.
  • Low-sodium soup and broth prevent overly salty results.
  • Fresh garlic gives best flavor; jarred works in pinch.
  • Angel hair pasta perfect match but fettuccine, linguine also delicious.
  • Freezes perfectly up to 2 months; thaw overnight before reheating.
