Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches

An easy and delicious slow cooker meal, perfect for busy days or casual gatherings, featuring tender beef in a flavorful au jus.

  • 23 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French rolls or hoagie buns
  • Sliced provolone cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the au jus gravy mix, beef broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the roast in the slow cooker.
  4. Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the meat is tender.
  5. Shred the beef with two forks.
  6. Serve the shredded beef in French rolls or hoagie buns, topped with provolone cheese if desired, and dip in the au jus from the slow cooker.

Notes

For extra flavor, sear the beef before slow cooking. Adjust seasonings and try different types of rolls for variety.
