  • 6 large croissants, torn into pieces
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk (or half-and-half for creamier texture)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • 2. Tear the croissants into large pieces and place them evenly in the baking dish.
  • 3. Sprinkle cooked sausage over the croissant pieces.
  • 4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • 5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants and sausage.
  • 6. Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  • 7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
  • 8. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until golden and set in the center.
  • 9. Remove from oven, rest 10 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute sausage with bacon or ham for variation.
  • For a veggie version, add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers.
  • This casserole can be made a day ahead and baked just before serving.
