  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Incorporate the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract into the creamed mixture until well combined.
  4. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients gradually with the wet mixture, stir gently to avoid overmixing. If using, stir in chopped nuts.
  6. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Prepare the cream cheese glaze while cookies cool: mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Glaze the cookies after they cool slightly, allowing the glaze to set before serving.
