Deviled Strawberries Recipe

Deviled Strawberries are juicy strawberry halves piped with fluffy cheesecake filling and finished with graham cracker crumbs for the easiest bite-sized no-bake dessert or party treat.

  • Strawberries:
  • 2024 large fresh strawberries
  • Cheesecake filling:
  • 225 g cream cheese, softened
  • 120 ml heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 70 g powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Topping:
  • 34 tbsp graham cracker crumbs or crushed biscuits
  • Optional: melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  • 1. Rinse and dry the strawberries well. Slice each strawberry in half lengthwise, then cut a small sliver off the back so they sit flat on a tray.
  • 2. Use a small knife or melon baller to carefully hollow out a little well in the center of each strawberry half to hold the filling.
  • 3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, lemon juice (if using), and a pinch of salt until completely smooth and creamy.
  • 4. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream to medium-stiff peaks. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
  • 5. Transfer the cheesecake filling to a piping bag fitted with a star tip (or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped).
  • 6. Pipe a generous swirl of cheesecake filling into the hollow of each strawberry half, mounding it slightly above the top.
  • 7. Sprinkle the tops with graham cracker crumbs or crushed biscuits. Drizzle with a little melted chocolate if you like.
  • 8. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving for the neatest bites, or serve immediately for a softer texture.

Notes

  • Choose large, firm strawberries so they hold plenty of filling and don’t collapse.
  • Whip the cream separately, then fold it into the cream cheese for a light, whipped-cheesecake texture.
  • Assemble close to serving time so the strawberries stay fresh and the crumbs stay crisp.
  • For a twist, flavor the filling with a little cocoa powder, almond extract, or extra lemon zest.
  • Leftover filling is great piped into small glasses and topped with berries as a quick mini cheesecake dessert.
