Earl Grey Panna Cotta

Silky smooth Earl Grey Panna Cotta infused with fragrant Earl Grey tea and topped with a hint of vanilla and citrus zest. Elegant, make-ahead dessert perfect for tea lovers and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon or orange (optional)
  • Fresh berries or candied citrus for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5-10 minutes.
  • 2. In a saucepan, heat cream, milk, sugar, and Earl Grey tea bags over medium heat until just about to boil.
  • 3. Remove from heat, cover, and steep for 10 minutes.
  • 4. Remove tea bags, stir in vanilla and lemon/orange zest.
  • 5. Discard tea bags. Warm gelatin in microwave 10 seconds until melted, whisk into cream mixture.
  • 6. Pour into ramekins or molds. Chill at least 4 hours until set.
  • 7. Serve garnished with fresh berries or candied citrus.

  • Use high-quality loose-leaf Earl Grey or quality tea bags.
  • Bloom gelatin properly for smooth texture.
  • Make ahead for easy entertaining.
