Easy Potsticker Soup

- 8 frozen potstickers (pork, chicken, or vegetable)
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: chili oil, sesame seeds, cilantro
- 1. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 30 seconds.
- 2. Add sliced mushrooms and carrots, and cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
- 3. Pour in the chicken broth and soy sauce; bring to a simmer.
- 4. Add the frozen potstickers directly into the simmering broth.
- 5. Cook uncovered for 6–8 minutes, or until the potstickers are heated through and tender.
- 6. Stir in the spinach and green onions; cook for another 1–2 minutes until wilted.
- 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 8. Serve hot with a drizzle of chili oil and sprinkle of sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
- You can use any frozen dumplings or gyoza chicken, pork, shrimp, or veggie.
- Add a spoonful of miso paste for extra umami flavor.
- Leftovers store well and can be reheated gently on the stovetop.
