  • 4 round bread loaves (sourdough or boule-style)
  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • 2. Cut the tops off the bread loaves and hollow out the centers to create bowls.
  • 3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • 4. Brush the garlic butter mixture all over the inside and edges of the bread bowls.
  • 5. Place bread bowls on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes until lightly crisp.
  • 6. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain.
  • 7. Toss cooked spaghetti with marinara sauce until well coated.
  • 8. Remove bread bowls from oven and fill each with spaghetti.
  • 9. Top generously with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • 10. Return to oven and bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • 11. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.
