  • 810 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 12 teaspoons red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: rice noodles, bok choy, mushrooms

Instructions

  • 1. In a large pot over medium heat, add sesame oil. Sauté sliced garlic and grated ginger for 1-2 minutes until fragrant (don’t brown).
  • 2. Add chicken broth, chili flakes, and soy sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  • 3. Simmer 10-15 minutes to infuse flavors.
  • 4. Stir in lime juice and green onions. Taste and adjust salt and spice level.
