Flaky Jalapeño Popper Twists are deliciously spicy, flaky pastry twists filled with creamy cheese and jalapeños, perfect as an appetizer or snack.

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 12 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños, garlic powder, and salt.
  • 3. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface.
  • 4. Spread cheese mixture evenly over half the pastry.
  • 5. Fold pastry over and gently press to seal.
  • 6. Cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  • 7. Twist each strip several times and place on baking sheet.
  • 8. Brush with beaten egg.
  • 9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and flaky.
