Flavorful Double Onion Potato

  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Cook the sliced onions, stirring occasionally, until golden brown (10-15 minutes).
  3. Add the spices: cumin seeds, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir for about a minute.
  4. Mix in the cubed potatoes and salt to taste.
  5. Pour in enough water to cover the potatoes completely and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes until tender.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
