  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warm
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp strawberry puree
  • 12 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • 1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar; let sit until foamy.
  • 2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt; mix well.
  • 3. Gradually add flour and knead until a soft dough forms.
  • 4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • 5. Mix diced strawberries with brown sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch.
  • 6. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread strawberry mixture evenly over the surface.
  • 7. Roll up tightly and slice into rolls.
  • 8. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
  • 9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  • 10. Whisk powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and milk to make glaze.
  • 11. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm strawberries to prevent excess moisture.
  • Add lemon zest to the filling for extra brightness.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be reheated gently.
