- 3 large russet potatoes
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 1. Peel potatoes and slice into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- 2. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut potatoes into heart shapes.
- 3. Place potatoes in cold water for 15 minutes to remove excess starch; drain and pat dry.
- 4. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- 5. Fry potatoes in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden and crispy.
- 6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 7. Season immediately with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double-fry the potatoes for 1–2 minutes.
- Serve with ketchup, aioli, or cheese sauce.
