Glazed Strawberry Bread

A delightful treat combining sweetness of strawberries with soft, moist bread, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons strawberry juice or milk for glaze

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Mix the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine the wet and dry mixtures gently.
  5. Fold in chopped fresh strawberries.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bread for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with strawberry juice or milk.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.

Notes

Serve with tea or coffee, or enjoy with ice cream for dessert. Store in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
