Gyoza Soup

A comforting gyoza soup combining savory dumplings with fresh vegetables in a warm broth, perfect for chilly days.

  • 1 package gyoza (dumplings)
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (e.g., spinach, carrots, mushrooms)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the broth: Start by pouring 4 cups of vegetable broth into a large pot. Place the pot over medium-high heat and bring the broth to a boil.
  2. Add gyoza and vegetables: Once the broth is boiling, gently add the package of gyoza to the pot, followed by your mixed vegetables.
  3. Cook thoroughly: Allow the gyoza and vegetables to simmer for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Season the soup: Once everything is well-cooked, stir in 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Serve hot: Ladle the soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions.

Notes

Gyoza soup can be made ahead and stores well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat before serving.
