- 8 oz halloumi cheese sliced 1/2-inch thick
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Pinch chili flakes optional
- Flaky sea salt
- 1. Pat halloumi slices dry with paper towels.
- 2. Heat olive oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high. Add halloumi in single layer.
- 3. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until deep golden crust forms.
- 4. Reduce heat to medium. Drizzle honey over slices, sprinkle thyme and chili flakes.
- 5. Cook 30 seconds until honey bubbles and coats cheese. Transfer to plate.
Notes
- Don’t overcrowd pan for maximum crust.
- Use Cyprus PDO halloumi for best texture.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
