  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients.
  2. Combine the frozen hashbrowns, crumbled cooked sausage, shredded cheese, chopped green onions, egg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  3. Mix until well combined, using your hands or a large spoon.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Form small patties from the mixture.
