- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
- 2. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- 3. In a saucepan, melt 3 tbsp butter over medium heat.
- 4. Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes to form a roux.
- 5. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth and thickened.
- 6. Stir in cheddar, mozzarella, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until melted.
- 7. Add cooked pasta to the cheese sauce and mix well.
- 8. Pour into prepared baking dish.
- 9. Combine breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top.
- 10. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- 11. Rest 5 minutes before serving.
