Honey Chili Cabbage Dumpling Bowls layer crispy potstickers over crunchy cabbage slaw with sweet-heat honey chili soy dressing. 20-minute texture-packed bowl like takeout using freezer dumplings.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen dumplings or gyoza (20-24)
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil
  • 4 cups shredded green or red cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 green onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  •  
  • Honey chili dressing:
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 12 tsp chili crisp or chili oil
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove grated
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Juice of 1/2 lime

Instructions

  • 1. Whisk soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, chili crisp, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and lime juice until smooth.
  • 2. Add cabbage, carrots, green onions, cilantro, and sesame seeds to large bowl. Pour most dressing over, toss to coat.
  • 3. Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high. Add frozen dumplings single layer, cook 2-3 mins golden bottom. Add water splash, cover, steam 4-5 mins. Uncover, crisp bottoms again.
  • 4. Divide slaw between bowls. Top with dumplings. Drizzle remaining dressing, extra chili crisp.

Notes

  • Air fry dumplings 400°F 8-10 mins extra crunch.
  • Slice cabbage finely softens in dressing.
  • Balance honey vs chili sweetness-heat.
