Hot Fudge Brownie Bread Recipe

Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is a decadent, chocolate-packed quick bread blending rich brownie batter with hot fudge swirls, topped with chocolate chips for gooey, fudgy slices. Ideal for chocolate lovers seeking bakery-style indulgence without yeast or rising time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Brownie Bread:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ cups granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1½ cups whole milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Hot Fudge Swirl:
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Topping:
  • ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
  • 2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • 3. In a separate bowl, beat eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until just combined (batter will be thick). Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips.
  • 4. In a small bowl, microwave hot fudge sauce and heavy cream for 20-30 seconds until pourable. Do not overheat.
  • 5. Pour half the brownie batter into prepared pan. Drizzle half the hot fudge mixture over batter and swirl gently with a knife. Top with remaining batter, drizzle with remaining fudge, and swirl again. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  • 6. Bake 60-70 minutes until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter). If top browns too quickly, tent with foil after 40 minutes.
  • 7. Cool in pan 15 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature; best within 3 days.

Notes

  • Thick batter is normal don’t overmix to keep bread tender.
  • Store-bought hot fudge works great; microwave briefly to thin for swirling.
  • For mini loaves, use 3 (5.75×3-inch) pans; bake 35-45 minutes.
  • Slice cold for cleaner cuts, or warm slices in microwave for melty chocolate.
  • Freeze wrapped slices up to 2 months; thaw at room temp.
