Lavender Honey Cupcakes

Delightful cupcakes combining the floral essence of lavender with the sweetness of honey, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp dried culinary lavender

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the honey, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the dried lavender.
  7. Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let them cool before frosting.
  10. For the frosting, beat together butter, powdered sugar, milk, and a pinch of lavender until smooth and creamy, then frost the cooled cupcakes.

Notes

Use culinary-grade lavender for best results. Adjust honey as needed for sweetness.
