Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese

A genius fusion of chicken parmesan and grilled cheese that’s ready in just 15 minutes using pre-cooked chicken tenders and simple ingredients.

  • 8 slices thick-cut bread (sourdough or Italian),
  • 4 cooked breaded chicken tenders, sliced,
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese,
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese,
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce,
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened,
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning,
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Heat skillet over medium heat. Butter one side of each bread slice. Mix Italian seasoning and garlic powder into remaining butter.
  • Place bread butter-side down in skillet. Spread marinara on unbuttered side, then layer mozzarella, sliced chicken, and Parmesan cheese.
  • Top with second bread slice, butter-side up. Cook 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  • Carefully flip sandwich and cook another 3-4 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bread is golden.
  • Let sandwich rest 2-3 minutes before cutting to allow cheese to set. Slice diagonally and serve immediately.
