Magic Lemon Cobbler Recipe

A bright and buttery magic lemon cobbler with a sweet citrus filling and a soft golden topping that forms while baking. Easy, refreshing, and perfect for spring or summer desserts.

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 can (21 oz) lemon pie filling or lemon curd
  • Zest of 1 lemon (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for topping

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • 2. Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish.
  • 3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  • 4. Stir in milk until a smooth batter forms.
  • 5. Pour batter evenly over melted butter; do not stir.
  • 6. Spoon lemon pie filling over the batter; again, do not stir — it will bake into layers.
  • 7. Bake 40–45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  • 8. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm.
