Oatmeal Apple Breakfast Bake

A hearty and nutritious oat bake with fresh apples and nuts, perfect for breakfast.

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 ½ cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
  • 1 large apple, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir in the oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if using.
  3. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  4. Let the bake cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or refrigerate for later.

Notes

For extra sweetness, add more maple syrup or honey to taste. You can substitute the apple with other fruits like pears or berries.
