Popcorn Chicken

Delightful and crispy popcorn chicken, perfect as a snack or appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the flour mixture by combining all-purpose flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan to about 350°F (175°C).
  4. Prepare the chicken by dredging the marinated pieces in the flour mixture.
  5. Fry the coated chicken pieces in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain the fried chicken on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
