  • 1 box (12 oz) Crispix cereal
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups pretzels (mini twists)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2. In large roasting pan, combine Crispix, pecans, and pretzels.
  • 3. In saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes without stirring.
  • 4. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda (mixture will foam up).
  • 5. Pour hot syrup over cereal mixture. Stir gently to coat evenly.
  • 6. Spread in single layer on prepared baking sheets. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  • 7. Cool completely. Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
