- 1 box (12 oz) Crispix cereal
- 2 cups pecans
- 1 1/2 cups pretzels (mini twists)
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2. In large roasting pan, combine Crispix, pecans, and pretzels.
- 3. In saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 5 minutes without stirring.
- 4. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and baking soda (mixture will foam up).
- 5. Pour hot syrup over cereal mixture. Stir gently to coat evenly.
- 6. Spread in single layer on prepared baking sheets. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- 7. Cool completely. Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
