- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin purée, melted butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- 3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
- 4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- 5. Fold in chocolate chips.
- 6. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
- 7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 8. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt over the top before baking.
