- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk pumpkin purée, maple syrup, brown sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- 3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- 4. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- 5. Stir in white chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
- 6. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking dish.
- 7. Bake 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- 8. Cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
- Add a drizzle of maple glaze for extra indulgence.
