Jalapeno Chicken

A flavorful and spicy dish featuring tender chicken thighs and zesty jalapenos, complemented by a sweet and savory sauce.

  • 1 lb chicken thighs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. Cook the chicken until browned and cooked through, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Add the chopped onions and jalapenos to the pan and sauté until onions are translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  5. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  6. Combine the sauce with the chicken mixture and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Serve the Jalapeno Chicken over rice, garnished with sesame seeds.

Notes

For milder spice, deseed the jalapenos. This dish pairs well with avocado or lime wedges.
