Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can, 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Chicken (Optional): If you wish to enhance the flavor, begin by heating the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts to the pan and sear them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.

  3. Add the Chicken: Place the seared (or raw) chicken breasts into the crockpot and coat each piece with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cook the Chicken: Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 360-420 minutes or on high for 180-240 minutes.
  5. Shred the Chicken: After the cooking time is complete, use two forks to shred the chicken in the crockpot.
  6. Add Sour Cream: Stir in the sour cream until well incorporated.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Top with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley, if desired.
