Sheet Pan Lemon Garlic Butter Salmon

A quick, healthy, and flavorful dinner with salmon, lemon, and garlic, all cooked on one pan for easy cleanup.

  • 1.5 to 1.75 pounds skin-on salmon fillet
  • 1 lemon (sliced into thin rounds)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice (from about 1 lemon)
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons honey
  • 5 cloves garlic (finely pressed or minced; or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the salmon fillet on a sheet of foil with the skin-side down.
  3. Create a foil barrier by raising the edges about 2 inches.
  4. Add lemon slices evenly around the salmon fillet.
  5. Melt butter in a microwave until fully melted.
  6. Mix in lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic into the butter.
  7. Add about three-quarters of the buttery mixture over the salmon.
  8. Season the salmon with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Seal the foil around the salmon.
  10. Let it marinate for 10 to 15 minutes if desired.
  11. Bake for about 17 minutes.
  12. Expose the salmon by opening the foil pack carefully.
  13. Broil for 5 to 10 minutes until golden.
  14. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with a fresh salad, steamed vegetables, or rice. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
