- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Brown sugar for topping (optional)
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- 3. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- 4. Pour batter evenly over the melted butter (do not stir).
- 5. Layer banana slices evenly over the batter.
- 6. Sprinkle brown sugar on top for extra caramel flavor.
- 7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
- 8. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
