- 1 (15.25 oz) box strawberry cake mix
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
- 36 Hershey’s Kisses or strawberry chocolate kisses, unwrapped
- Pink sanding sugar (optional)
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- 2. Combine cake mix, softened butter, egg, oil, and vanilla. Mix until soft dough forms.
- 3. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls. Roll in powdered sugar, then pink sanding sugar if desired.
- 4. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes until edges set but centers soft.
- 5. Remove from oven. Immediately press chocolate Kiss into each cookie center.
- 6. Cool 5 minutes on pan before transferring to wire rack.
