- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- Vanilla Cream:
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional Topping:
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Melted chocolate for drizzling
- 1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into equal rectangles.
- 3. Place pastry pieces on baking sheet, prick with a fork, and bake 15–18 minutes until golden and puffed.
- 4. Let pastry cool completely.
- 5. In a bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- 6. Toss sliced strawberries with granulated sugar and let sit 5 minutes.
- 7. To assemble, place one pastry layer on a plate, spread with vanilla cream, and top with strawberries.
- 8. Add another pastry layer and repeat.
- 9. Finish with a top pastry layer, dust with powdered sugar, and drizzle with chocolate if desired.
- 10. Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.
