Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients ready. This will help things go smoothly.
  2. Make the dry mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir these ingredients together until they are well mixed.
  3. Prepare the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry mixture. Stir just until everything is combined.
  5. Heat the pan: Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter or oil to the skillet.
  6. Cook the pancakes: Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup to pour batter onto the hot skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface.
  7. Flip the pancake: Carefully flip the pancake using a spatula. Cook the other side until golden brown.
  8. Repeat: Continue the process with the remaining batter, adding more butter or oil as needed.
  9. Serve warm: Once all the pancakes are cooked, stack them on a plate and serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
