Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins

Delightful muffins made with ripe bananas and rich chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Combine the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  5. Add baking soda and salt, stirring in well.
  6. Incorporate the all-purpose flour gradually and mix gently.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  8. Fill the muffin tin, each cup about 2/3 full.
  9. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for the best sweetness. You can add cinnamon or nutmeg for added flavor.
