Caprese Salad with Balsamic Reduction

A classic and visually appealing Caprese Salad featuring fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and fragrant basil, drizzled with a rich balsamic reduction.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mozzarella cheese
  • Ripe tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice tomatoes and mozzarella cheese into thick slices.
  2. Arrange alternating layers of tomato and mozzarella on a serving platter.
  3. Sprinkle fresh basil leaves over the top.
  4. Reduce balsamic vinegar over medium heat until it thickens.
  5. Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the salad.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

Best served fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for no more than one day.
