Caramel Apple Cheesecake

A delightful dessert that combines creamy cheesecake with sweet and tart apples, topped with rich caramel sauce.

  • 2 1/4 cups (302g) graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tbsp (39g) sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup (112g) salted butter, melted
  • 24 ounces (678g) cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup (207g) sugar
  • 3 tbsp (24g) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (173g) sour cream, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 large apples, chopped
  • 1/4 cup (56g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Sprinkle of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) heavy whipping cream, cold
  • 1/4 cup (29g) powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and ground cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are coated.
  4. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  5. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes.
  6. Beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  7. Gradually add the sugar and flour, mixing until combined.
  8. Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon, mixing well.
  9. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  10. Fold in the chopped apples.
  11. In a new bowl, combine light brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  12. Toss the apples in this mixture and set aside.
  13. Pour the cheesecake batter into the crust and smooth the top.
  14. Distribute the apple mixture evenly on top.
  15. Bake for 60 to 70 minutes until the edges are set.
  16. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for about an hour.
  17. Cool the cheesecake to room temperature before refrigerating.
  18. Combine whipped cream ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  19. Beat until stiff peaks form.
  20. Serve the cheesecake with caramel sauce and whipped cream.

Notes

For the best flavor, chill the cheesecake overnight before serving.
