Chicken Philly Sandwich

A quick and flavorful Chicken Philly Sandwich with sautéed onions, bell peppers, and melty provolone cheese, perfect for lunch or dinner.

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 2 hoagie rolls
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the sliced onions and bell peppers until soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips and mix with the sautéed vegetables in the skillet.
  5. Assemble the hoagie rolls with the chicken and vegetable mixture, topping each with two slices of provolone cheese.
  6. Melt the cheese by covering the skillet or placing the sandwiches in a preheated oven until bubbly.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite side.
